This CEU delves into the pivotal role of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in cultivating happiness and self-care. Participants will gain insight into the psychological traps that hinder our happiness and how to navigate them using behavior analytic principles. Furthermore, this CEU will provide practical strategies to achieve and/or increase your happiness.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will gain an understanding of how Applied Behavior Analysis principles can be applied to improve happiness and well-being, including the use of operant conditioning to modify behaviors that contribute to happiness.
  2. Clarify common misconceptions about happiness, such as the beliefs that happiness is directly proportional to income, material possessions, or marital status, and provide a behavior analytic perspective on these beliefs.
  3. Learn to identify and understand behavioral biases that influence our perception of happiness, including hedonic adaptation and relative thinking, and how these biases can lead to misconceptions about what makes us happy.
  4. Learn practical self-care strategies to achieve happiness.

Daniela Galvez Moreno, M.S., BCBA

Daniela Galvez Moreno is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with extensive experience in applying behavior analysis to improve life quality. Holding a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology, she has developed a broad skill set across various settings, including hospitals, clinics, homes, and schools. Daniela’s focus has been on designing effective behavior intervention plans, training behavior technicians, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams for her clients’ comprehensive care and development. As the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Brawn and Bloom, Daniela’s courses are particularly beneficial for professional women seeking to leverage behavior analytic principles to enhance both personal and professional areas of their lives.
